“For I know the plans I have for you”, says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
I am grateful for many, many things. But one of the biggest blessings in my life is my granddaughter.
It was on a Monday morning and I got a call at work that my daughter, Jennifer, who was full term was having labor pains. I left work right away and we headed to Murfreesboro. Brad had already informed us that there was a problem and they were going to do an emergency C-section. When we got to the hospital we found out that our precious Kyler was in the arms of Jesus.
The following year 2006 they had a desire to adopt. They were finally matched with their little girl, Kylie Hope, in spring of 2010 and they traveled to China with their son, Karsten, in August.
When we met Kylie at the Nashville airport for the first time it just bought me to tears. Tears of joy for Kylie, who was an orphan, born with a cleft lip and palate would turn four in November, now had a loving family. Now almost three year’s later they are matched with a little boy in China and have named him Braden Matthew after his brother, Kyler Braden.
God’s plans may not be our plans but He knew that his goodness and love on those dark days would someday bring good out of a very sorrowful time.
