For November 29th:

I thank my God every time I remember you.” Philippians 1:3

Project # 18-Advent Wreath

This Sunday, December 1st, is the first Sunday in the Season of Advent. The church celebrates 4 Sundays in Advent before Christmas Eve. Advent means waiting. Anticipation. Looking forward to the Good to come. Each Sunday during worship, a candle will be lit representing a special lesson for us as we wait for Christ’s coming.
Why not create your own Advent wreath to use with your family and loved ones at home. It can be made using live or artificial greenery, or none at all. You will need 3 purple candles, 1 pink candle and 1 white candle, along with candlesticks for holding the candles. Place the purple and pink candles in a circle, then put the white candle in the middle.
Refer to this devotional on the 4 Sundays in Advent and on Christmas Eve for readings and prayers to go along with the lighting of your candles each week.
