For August 8th:

This entry is one of many that we will be blessed by from the youth who recently traveled to New York City for mission work. Thank you April for sharing what God placed in your heart from your experiences while being the hands and feet of Christ.

Our judgment led us to believe that everyone in New York had this stuck up/rude attitude, but after getting to work with them and seeing how God brought them together through Sandy made me realize how wrong we were. On the ride up there all I could think about was how we could be working with people that had the impression of us just wanting a reason to come to New York but that wasn't the case. We had people call us from across the street to tell us how thankful they were for all we have done and continuously say, "God Bless You". 

            The most inspiring experience for me was meeting Abe. He made sure others were taken care of before himself, which was heart warming. He thanked us every ten minutes and made sure we were taken care of. He opened his doors to us which made me feel like I really made a difference. 

            This trip showed me how much hope you can bring into someone’s life just by reaching out to them and showing them that God still answers prayers.
