For April 6th:
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Never in a million years did I ever think that I would be living in Chattanooga, TN.  I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL and there I thought and hoped I would remain forever.  But, the lagging economy led us to a job change and relocation here.  From the quick sale of our former home to quickly finding a new home and church home here, God truly had his hand on us and gave me a peace during the entire transition.
It was almost like a fresh start for me.  We knew no one.  All that we had was one another and we bonded as a family just knowing that.  I’ll never forget visiting Christ Church for the first time.  Kari Martin must have read the look on my face as “overwhelmed” for she quickly swooped in, made us feel comfortable and got us plugged in.  After the first visit, that Palm Sunday of 2008, I knew that I had found my new church home.  I’m so glad the rest of the family loved it too!
Never have I been involved in such a vibrant, active, accepting church as this one.  I thank God every day for my church family.  The move to Chattanooga was truly God’s plan for me.
