For March 27th:
“The Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

I grew up in a family of musicians. I was constantly surrounded by beautiful music. I became so accustomed to the sounds that I failed to listen or to appreciate the talents my family had been given. Many times I had missed the music. I had taken that gift from God for granted.
When I read the words from Zephaniah 3:17, I cannot imagine God rejoicing over me with singing. What does that mean? What song is He singing over me each day? What beautiful music is He playing? Can I hear His music or am I taking it for granted like I had in my home when I was younger?
Is it the birds singing, each a different song, or the beautiful sounds of the wind chimes swaying in the breeze? The splash of raindrops as they fall from the sky, or the rolling thunder of the storm? The almost silent sounds of snow falling, or the laughter of children? Or could His music be in the “I love you’s” from my husband and children that cause my own heart to sing?
Is it a new song each day, one written just for me? All I know is His song is special and it is dedicated to me!
Can you hear the music? Listen closely, you could be hearing the voice of God singing over you. We are surrounded by His songs and His love. Embrace this unique gift given from God Himself.
God is not only the Great Physician. He is also the Great Musician!
