For November 19th:

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:17

I have a friend who is such an inspiration for me on my faith journey. She is one of the most graceful and gracious people that I have the privilege of calling friend. To be in her presence is to be at peace, and I look forward to her words of wisdom when she breaks her quiet demeanor to share her thoughts. I have never  witnessed her being anything but spirit filled. She is humble, kind, generous, gentle, joyful, classy, soft-spoken, beautiful, accepting, prayerful, prayer filled, inclusive, diverse, witty, smart, caring, creative and God fearing.
Each year she hosts a luncheon a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving inviting all those she calls friend. It is a gathering I look forward to. She prepares a delicious lunch and plans simple games encouraging her guests to think about who and what they are thankful for. This past year her focus revolved around relationships and expressing gratitude for those special people God places in our lives. Her home is filled with beautiful women smiling, laughing, hugging, and catching up with one another’s lives.
I am so blessed to be able to experience her ability to share God’s obvious presence in her heart and home. She glorifies God in her living. Her graciousness encourages me to put forth a better effort in my quest for being a more grateful wife, mother, sister, neighbor, friend and servant of our Lord. Thank you Bonnie.
