“Now may
the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great
shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, make you complete
in everything good so that you may do his will, working among us that which is
pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and
ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21
I decided to spend this past summer
using The Will of God, A Workbook by Rebecca Laird as my daily Bible
study guide. God blessed me with
several other Christians who also wanted to delve into this subject of God’s
will. We spent 6 weeks studying
and practicing what we were reading about. I discovered that God wants us to know His will even more
that we want to know it.
I think we all came away with what we
needed from this 6-week study. I
came away with three index cards that I am still working on. On one side is a prayer I wrote about a
specific problem. After the study,
these prayers were worded a little differently based on my new understanding of
God and His will for us. On the
other side is a list of specific acts I can do to cooperate with God in
bringing good out of these three problems. At least one card is still blank on the back. At the time of this writing, I am still
praying about that one.
Pray with me that we all seek and do
God’s will daily. We are His hands
and feet and voices to this world.
