For July 7th:

“No one has ever seen God, but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.” I John 4:12

WRAPPED IN LOVE
I crochet picture afghans. They are 2X2 granny squares that are sewed together to create a picture.
I was making my grandson a clown picture afghan and was almost finished with it when we went to Fla. for a visit. However, once there his little sister, April, about 8 months old claimed it. She was fascinated with the bright colors. Needless to say it was finished and given to her with a promise to her brother that I would make another one for him.
The afghan became the favorite for the entire family to curl up in, but it was extra special to April and her Mom.
My precious daughter-in-law had a massive heart attack and died 2 and ½ years later. She had been 33 for 2 weeks. She left my son and 3 children. T.C. 14, April 3 and Amanda 2.
We of course left for Fla. immediately and you go through the motions knowing that you are being held up by so many friends that God has surrounded you with and their prayers.
It was decided that our Son would move back to Tn. so we could help with the children. When we were packing I missed the afghan and asked my son where it was. He said, “Mom when Serlina couldn't sleep, she would take your afghan and wrap herself in it on the sofa. She was wrapped in it the morning I found her and when the coroner took her, I just could not take it off so I left her wrapped in your afghan.”
Fourteen years later and the tears still fall when I remember that night that she was wrapped in my love. Every little square was made with love and even though I was not with her, my love was.
How often do I hurt late at night and remember that I too am wrapped in love. God's love.

Prayer: Dear Father my God, how strong your love that even though we don't see You, You show us Your love over and over in so many ways. Your love makes us complete and how we praise Your Holy Name. Amen.
