For June 19th:
“…But
when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand
is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in
secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:3-4
In each edition
of this “Living a Life of Gratitude” Daily Devotional, we have been encouraged to
show our gratitude to others (and ultimately to God) in a selfless way through
anonymous acts of kindness. Anonymous acts are not always easy to pull off, but
with some effort and a little creativity, it can happen. And the joy the giver
receives is as abundant as the joy the recipient of the kindness experiences.
When you have opportunities, try the ideas and experience the bountiful joy of
blessing another in this most selfless way.
#13-
Do a chore that is usually your spouse’s job or co-worker’s without
comment.
#14- Write something
nice about your waitperson on the back of the check as you pay.
#15- Pay for the person behind you coming out
of the parking garage.
Have fun!
