For May 22nd:
“…But
when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand
is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in
secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:3-4
In each edition
of this “Living a Life of Gratitude” Daily Devotional, we have been encouraged to
show our gratitude to others (and ultimately to God) in a selfless way through
anonymous acts of kindness. Anonymous acts are not always easy to pull off, but
with some effort and a little creativity, it can happen. And the joy the giver
receives is as abundant as the joy the recipient of the kindness experiences.
When you have opportunities, try the ideas and experience the bountiful joy of
blessing another in this most selfless way. Have fun!
#10-
Recycle magazines when you have finished reading them by donating them
to an area assisted living or retirement home.
#11- I love filling up
a parking meter before I pull out of the space. (This idea was sent in
anonymously from one of our readers. Thank you for this great idea!!)
#12- You don’t have to search hard in any city
to find someone combing the streets for littered aluminum cans that they will
sell then for needed funds. Save them in a bag or box as you empty them at
home. When your container is full give them to someone who is desperately
seeking them on the streets.
Have fun!
