For May 18th:
“Lord, when doubts fill my mind, when my heart is in turmoil, quiet me and give me renewed hope and cheer.” Psalm 94:10
Gratitude Project #9:
Do you know someone who has had a loss in their life recently, and may be struggling with loneliness, sadness, lostness? This month’s project is to reach out to that person in some thoughtful way to let them know they are not forgotten.
Send them a card, bake them a homemade treat, or cut flowers from your garden and make a fresh arrangement. Fill a gift basket filled with tea bags, a mug with an inspirational writing printed on it and some cookies or muffins. Don’t forget to attach a personal note to whatever you have decided to share with this person. You might even want to include one of these “Living a Life of Gratitude” devotionals with your surprise.
Give them a call to let them know you will be dropping it by and deliver your “pick me up” surprise in person. They may or may not want you to stay, so offer to just leave at their front door.
Sometimes just knowing they are being remembered even a year after a loss can really make a difference in someone’s life.
