For March 17th:
“Rejoice always,…” 1 Thessalonians 5:16
Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our appreciation.

Gratitude Project #6 (For the whole family):
Think back or look back to the Valentine’s project (January 14th entry). If your family enjoyed that project, or if you just didn’t have the chance to try it then, maybe a similar project would be fun for Easter. Instead of a heart shaped box, let’s use an Easter basket and pastel colored paper (maybe in the shape of eggs?) to write our blessings on. Place the basket in a place where the whole family is reminded to write down things they are thankful for on the slips of paper, fold them up and toss them in the basket. Sometime over Easter weekend plan to gather the whole family together and each person take turns reading the blessings aloud. When the basket is empty it will almost symbolize the empty tomb on Easter morning. Great blessings not found “buried”, but alive and giving joy to the hearts that “see” them. Have fun!
