For February 13th:
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. ”  John 3 :16

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten season, which is the 40 days (excluding Sundays) leading up to Easter, when Christians practice some form of discipline that might lead them into a closer relationship with and understanding of Jesus and how much we are loved by Him. In her book “One Thousand Gifts”, 2009, Ann Voscamp is dared to start a list of one thousand things she loves. This list was her starting point of finding out just how much she was loved by God and it changed her life.
For our next project, let’s take that same dare during Lent. You are challenged to start making a list of things you love over the next 40 days. Ordinary things; details, moments. You don’t have to number your list if you don’t want to. Just start writing down the things that make you happy in list form. Let’s see what happens.
