“The sacrifices of God are
a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart. O God, you will not despise.”
Psalm 51:17
One day on my way home from work the
afternoon sun was penetrating. As I was going across the dam the light was
bouncing off the car windows ever so brightly. However, there was one car that
the light coming from it was so bright it was blinding. As I followed the cars
across the dam and pulled up even with the car that was shining so brilliantly,
the back window was broken. Cracks ran all through the glass. At that moment I
heard the voice inside me, that still quiet voice and it said “I use your
brokenness.”
I was dealing with some family issues
that was indeed leaving me feeling very broken and I knew in that instant in my
brokenness that my light can shine even more brilliantly and bring glory to my
God and Savior.
Prayer: Father God, I thank you for my brokenness
and using me for your Glory.
